Kevin Hart Signs Massive Four-Movie First-Look Deal With Netflix

Kevin Hart is dominating the world of Netflix as he has signed a massive four-picture deal. The actor signed the deal to both star in and produce through his HartBeat Productions company.

The official financial terms are not revealed, however, it is said that the streaming service’s last major commitment was the $150 million. It was a four-picture extension which was signed with Adam Sandler.

Kevin has already an established relationship with Netflix with his comedy special, No F—s Given. It was the top comedy special of 2020 and was viewed by 21 million subscribers within the first four weeks of its release.

The actor has had his films earn more than $4 billion at the box office. This can mark as giving Netflix another big box office draw. People have turned to the streaming service as many theaters still remain closed because of the ongoing pandemic.

Kevin also confirmed the massive deal as he responded to Deadline’s headline with a brief statement. He shared that he is excited about this new chapter for himself and his company. The actor added how blessed and grateful he is for his team at HartBeat Productions.

He wrote, I truly believe in our ability to make global films that will make a lasting impact in cinema history for years to come. We are just getting started people…..It’s all about the “We” not the “Me”. The actor had added in another statement that his partnering with Netflix is an amazing opportunity for HartBeat and him.

‘I am excited to act in and produce cutting-edge films with Netflix. I am extremely grateful to Ted Sarandos and Scott Stuber, we share the same creative vision and always put the audience first,’ Kevin continued.

The actor further shared how this business is about growth and his company has continued to exceed his expectations with its ability to develop stories and relationships. He also shared their goal to make the HartBeat name synonymous with first-class entertainment and narratives.

The head of original Netflix films, Scott Stuber, shared that Netflix has enjoyed a long relationship with Kevin. He added they have been lucky enough to partner with Kevin many times.

The actor’s first project for Netflix was a dramatic TV series, True Story. He starred and produced with Eric Newman. He was also currently filming The Man From Toronto with Woody Harrelson. His latest movie, Fatherhood will release by April 16.
