Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige commented whether Spider-man 3 will be bringing back Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The very first Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey created an era of big-screen comic book adaptations.

However, the first series was by Sam Raimi who had creative differences with the studio which prevented the fourth film from being made. This prompted Sony to reboot the franchise with Andrew back in 2012.

However, after Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony made a deal with Marvel Studios to bring back Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is when Tom’s Spider-man entered the picture.

Mysterio aka Quentin Beck fabled the Multiverse in Spider-man: Far From Home. The idea of having a parallel universe was also included in Doctor Strange as well as Avengers: Endgame. The last movie of Avengers introduced the idea of time-travel as well as the creation of multiple timelines.

After Spider-Man: Far From Home, MCU Phase 4 has kicked off with WandaVision, Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the sequel to Spider-Man. The upcoming sequel of Spider-Man will also include Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and two other actors from previous movies; Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to reprise his role as Electro and Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius.

However, there are more reports coming in that claim both Andrew and Tobey will also return. In an interview with ComicBook, Kevin opened up about the speculation of the upcoming sequel of Spider-Man.

The president did not confirm or deny any such casting rumors just like Sony and other parties. He said some of what has been reported might be true.

Jamie & Alfred Will Introduce New Versions Of Their Characters

The president said, I’ve read some things. I’m not sure I’ve read all things. The fun thing about online speculation when it comes to our stuff is how sometimes it couldn’t be more off the mark and sometimes it’s shockingly close, and that’s held true for the last few years. But saying which is which would take all the fun out of everything.”

Kevin has been involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time. This means his comments cannot be taken lightly. However, this might turn out to be more than just speculation given Marvel Studio’s productivity for critical and commercial acclaim.

Imagining that Emma Stone and Kirsten Dunst’s characters also return would be quite a stretch. However, fans can assume that Jamie and Alfred’s involvement was announced to also hype the return of the other two Spider-Man.

Both the characters played by the actors met to their death in the version of Sony films. Foxx also teased that Jamie will be playing a completely different Electro. While Alfred could be playing Doctor Octopus as per the MCU’s take.

During the Spider-Man: Far From Home mid-credits, Peter Parker and MJ (Zendaya) react to news broadcasted all around. The news was from Mysterio who revealed the identity of Spider-Man and implicates him as a murderer.

This leads to J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons) to show up. However, Simmons will not playing the same Jonah he played in Tobey’s trilogy. This cameo is what supports the theory of the collision of the three Spider-Man characters. However, the suspense only increases the anticipation for the sequel and a homage to past franchises. This will mark a huge step forward for the MCU Phase 4.
