Kelly Clarkson defended herself from fans who do not support a working mother. A social media user called her out saying her marriage did not work because of her busy schedule.
A troll responded to the news of her replacing Simon Cowell in America’s Got Talent as judge. The user said, “no wonder her marriage didn’t work”. Kelly responded telling the user to aim higher this week.
She expressed her surprise saying wow and called the troll out for shaming a mom for working. The singer said, “Shaming a woman who has a great work ethic, is a great mom, and who steps up and fills in when a friends asks for a favor because that’s actually what ‘good old country girls’ do…. this can’t be who you are deep down.”
Kelly added sarcastically that she has more faith in the troll and urges to aim higher. The singer shares children, River, Remington, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The new AGT judge filed for divorce from her husband back in June. The couple were married for seven years.
Kelly replaced Simon Cowell as judge in AGT as he had to undergo surgery for his back injury. A source revealed that Simon is doing the best he can and walking around again as much as he can.
The singer joked on Tuesday that she will be competing with Simon’s tough reputation in an Instagram video. She said she would be bringing “country” to the show instead because she has the “worst British accent in the universe.”
“It’s almost showtime y’all! Getting ready to take over for @SimonCowell! I really need to work on my British accent… ????????” she wrote alongside the video. “Looking forward to watching all of the acts!”
Kelly opened up about the challenges of motherhood in an interview in June. She said there is no greater gift than that but she also acknowledged that it is overwhelming. The singer said one will be inspired to do magical things with their kids.
“Try things you’ve never done before,” she said during a virtual ShowHER Love baby shower. It was for new and expectant moms as she teamed up with Carter’s. “It is such an awesome experience being a parent. I know it can be overwhelming, but it is so amazing. You aren’t just molding their little lives — it’s changing you in the process, too.”
Kelly took to her social media to announce her appearance on America’s Got Talent, as she steps in for Simon. She joked that she was wiser, cooler, and hotter than Simon. Kelly was previously the winner of American idol, where Simon was the judge.
The singer added that her friend, Simon was in an accident but he is better now. However, she informed fans that he won’t be able to come in for Tuesday and Wednesday’s live shows. She went on to announce, “But no worries America, someone far wiser, cooler, and hotter is taking his seat! The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson. You’re welcome in advance!”
Simon has unfortunately got into a biking accident which led him to be under surgery for six hours. He broke his back in a number of places and had to go through procedures and fusions. A source also claimed he had to insert a metal rod in his back.
His representative informed, “Simon had a fall from his bike testing his new electric bike in the courtyard at his house in Malibu with his family. He hurt his back and was taken to the hospital. He’s doing fine, he’s under observation and is in the best possible hands.”
