Karan Johar unfollows people on Twitter, follows just 8 accounts now
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has unfollowed several accounts on Twitter, now just follows eight accounts!
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has started several debates in the country. One one side, there have been protests in Bihar against the Bollywood industry with cases filed on several filmmakers. On the other side, people have been calling out people from the industry highlighting their hypocrisy.
One of the most discussed topics has become nepotism, which has been happening in the industry since ages. Recently, the actress Alia Bhatt and the filmmaker Karan Johar has become one of the most unfollowed celebs on social media.
In recent developments, even KJo has unfollowed several accounts on Twitter. In fact, he follows just eight accounts now – three of which are his production companies and one is the CEO Apoorva Mehta of his company.
Apart from these, Karan follows Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and the Indian PM Narendra Modi. This step has come after Karan receiving immense amount of trolling on social media.
Earlier, he had posted a picture with Sushant as he had written, “I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year….. I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with… But somehow I never followed up on that feeling… Will never make that mistake again… We live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times… Some of us succumb to these silences and go within…we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them.” He went on talk about how the actor’s demise has been a wake up call to him.
