K-Pop Duet Survival Show Lineup Includes SF9, Kard, Sistar, Block B

Fans of K-pop may now watch a new survival show. Competition shows are extremely popular because they allow viewers to see a different side of celebrities and popular trainees participating in the shows.

We’ve had backing dancers and choreographers for legendary K-pop songs; such as ‘Street Woman Fighter,’ which had dance crews. We’ve got ‘Kingdom,’ a survival show with members of well-known groups like Stray Kids, Ateez, and iKO; and now we have ‘Double Trouble,’ a unique music competition programme featuring members of SF9, Kard, Sistar, and Block B.

Watcha, an entertainment portal has debuted its newest popular idol survival show. We’ve seen shows like ‘Hit The Stage,’; which had GOT7’s Yugyeom as a winner, and ‘Good Girl,’; which featured Lee Youngji and Hyoyeon from Girls’ Generation as one of the winning teams. There will also be a reunion of sorts among some of the cast members; as Jiwoo from Kard and Hyolyn from Sistar will both be participating in ‘Double Trouble’. It is Watcha’s latest competition show which has enlisted 10 renowned individuals from the second and third generations; as well as current popular rookies.

The goal of ‘Double Trouble’ is for the players to create a duet stage with one another. The survival show’s goal is for idols to find a fit partner with whom they can “create trouble”; and collaborate. The show’s MCs will be 4D entertainers Kim Ji-seok and Jang Do-yeon. We also have a list of the idols who will be appearing in the show. Because it is a singing competition, all of the contestants are either the lead vocalists in their bands or powerful singers.

2AM Seulong
2AM is a ballad group with a talented voice in every member. Expectations are high for Seulong after Changmin won another singing competition, ‘Immortal Songs.’

Jang Hyunseung
Jang Hyunseung was a member of the leading second-gen group BEAST; before it was relaunched as Highlight. Along with Hyuna, he was a member of the iconic duet Trouble Maker.

Block B’s Taeil
Taeil is recognised for being a trainee for a short time; but he had vocal instruction for six years and is the hip hop group’s lead vocalist.

SF9’s Inseong
He is recognised for his high notes as the group’s primary vocalist; and one of the highlights of his career was when SF9 performed Taemin’s ‘Move’ on the survival show ‘Kingdom.’

WEi’s Kim Donghan
Netizens were astonished to learn that WEi’s primary dancer is participating in a singing competition; although fans already know that he’s a brilliant singer and a panellist on MBC’s trot show.

Minzy
Minzy, a former member of 2NE1, has appeared on various singing competitions; including ‘King of Mask Singer.’ She is a mentor on the survival show ‘Wild Idol,’ alongside Taeil; and is still a popular vocalist even outside of the United States.

Hyolyn
Sistar’s leader, Hyolyn, was recognised for their viral summer songs. Her mini-reunion with Dasom for a charity song left fans missing the trio; but she’s back with her characteristic raspy vocals on ‘Double Trouble.’

Choa
Former AOA member who was not only the group’s lead vocalist but also its guitarist. Her fans are ecstatic to see her return.

Kardi’s Jiwoo
The co-ed group is now on hiatus due to J.seph’s military commitments. However, the members are preoccupied with their separate projects. Fans are excited to watch rapper Jiwoo on ‘Double Trouble’; after she stunned everyone with her singing on ‘Good Girl.’

Weeekly Monday
With viral songs like ‘After School,’ rookie girl trio Weeekly is sweeping K-pop by storm. Monday is not just the group’s main vocalist, but also its vocal leader, therefore she has a lot of pressure on her shoulders.

The show will premiere on Watcha’s platform in December.
