Joey King calls out her ex and co-star, Jacob Elordi for claiming that he did not watch ‘Kissing Booth 2’.
In an interview with Variety, Jacob revealed that he had not seen his own movie. The second installment of his debut film Kissing Booth premiered last month. “I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t,” Elordi said in an interview published Thursday morning.
Joey, however, said otherwise. She took to Twitter to claim that Jacob has watched Kissing Booth 2. “Jacob watched it. He’s capping,” King wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted.
It was recently announced that Kissing Booth 3 will premiere next year on Netflix. The exes will reunite in the movie again. Jacob and Joey started dating when their first movie debuted on Netflix in 2017. However, they broke up rather quietly in 2018.
In an interview with ET, Joey says everybody wants to know what your business. She continues saying it is interesting that people think you owe them an explanation but she says she understands.
The actress says she has gone through some stuff publicly and privately and it’s all about finding balance. She continued, “And it can be brutal, but you know happy endings do come to those who are patient.”
Meanwhile, for Jacob, he admits to being bothered initially that people would pay so much attention to his dating life. He says just the fact that somebody he does not know, knows his name is disembodying. But he says it has nothing to do with him.
Jacob explains to ET, “Imagine the store around the corner from where you are now. Whatever people are talking about is not your business, it’s kind of how it feels. Unfortunately, it just has my name involved in it but it literally has nothing to do with me. It just doesn’t affect the trajectory of my life. So I just kind of ignore it.”
Jacob has sparked romance rumors with Euphoria co-star, Zendaya. They were spotted hanging out together and sharing a kiss. Meanwhile, Joey sparked a lot of speculation with her new co-star, Taylor Zakhar Perez.
Taylor recently refuted rumors of the couple dating. He said he had a lot of love and praise for Joey but they were not dating. “We just kind of hit it off. When we were in South Africa, we had dinner together,” he recalled. “I cooked for her, she cooked for me. We just became the kind of like, the best of friends.”
He added that he does love her dearly but denied dating her. “I love her. I love her dearly. I’d do anything for her,” he added, before stating, “We’re not dating. I’ll end it with that.”
