Jennifer Coolidge is said to be returning for season 2 of The White Lotus. The series launched on HBO in July to rave reviews, and it presently has an 88 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating.
The show is set in Hawaii and follows a group of wealthy travelers who are vacationing at the White Lotus resort.
Jennifer Coolidge Is Back
Following the announcement of the second season of White Lotus, it was revealed that the show would become an anthology series.
Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Molly Shannon, Natasha Rothwell, Brittany O’Grady, and Sydney Sweeney starred in the first season of The White Lotus, which ran for six episodes and starred Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Molly Shannon, Natasha Rothwell, Brittany O’ Coolidge, who played Tanya McQuoid, a disturbed middle-aged woman, swiftly rose to become one of the series’ most popular characters. Mike White, the film’s writer and director, has yet to decide whether or not to bring back any of the original cast members.
Coolidge’s involvement in the new series
Jennifer Coolidge’s return to White Lotus season 2 has been confirmed by Variety’s sources. At this early time, the degree of Coolidge’s involvement in the new series is uncertain, however, Mike White has previously expressed interest in developing modest recurring roles for specific characters in White Lotus season 2.
Coolidge has already appeared in The Secret Life of the American Teenager, 2 Broke Girls, and Gravity Falls, and this will not be the first time she appears in a regular role for a TV show.
Though the extent of Coolidge’s involvement in The White Lotus season 2 is unknown, it’s logical to suppose her role will be reduced in order to introduce the show’s new faces.
There haven’t been any other names named yet, but the series’ unique anthology structure promises plenty of fresh and young talent. The White Lotus, which is still flying high on critical praise and is now located in a brand-new resort, may potentially attract some big names for its second season.
