Jay-Z has officially joined Instagram, and his fans are wild with excitement. The performer, who was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, attracted over a million followers within hours of joining. In addition, he became the first and only person to be followed by his wife, Beyonce. In terms of Jay-own Z’s account, the musician only follows one, which is that of his wifey.
The 51-year-old singer-first songwriter’s Instagram post was to promote his new project, The Harder They Fall, for which he acted as a producer. Jay-Z shared a poster for the upcoming film, which stars Regina King, Danielle Deadwyler, Damon Wayans Jr., Zazie Beetz, LaKeith Stanfield, and Delroy Lindo, and will be released on Netflix on November 3rd.
Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, was one of the first individuals to remark on Jay-first Z’s Instagram post after joining the photo-sharing app, leaving a wave emoji in the comments.
In addition, Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri replied on Jay-post Z’s with the words “Welcome” and a clapping emoji. The rapper also uploaded his first Instagram post, which included a countdown to the film’s release date.
Jay-previous Z’s social media presence consisted of a verified Twitter account he’d maintained since 2008.
