Jack Whitehall To Stop Hosting The BRIT Awards After 4 Consecutive Years

The famous comedian and BRIT Awards presenter Jack Whitehall has officially announced his departure from the show that he has been hosting for four long years!

Jack Whitehall was an excellent and much loved host of The BRIT Awards but he recently took to his Twitter handle to reveal the shocking news to the fans.

Why Is Jack Leaving?

As the new season of The BEIT Awards was announced to go live on February 08, 2022, Jack Whitehall had some personal announcements to make.

He said in the tweet “Sad to say after 4 brilliant years, I’ll be handing on the baton as I’ll be in the US filming another project at the top of next year. Loved doing it so much. All the best to the new host, I pray they treat Mursy, my mixers and sweet little Nialler with the respect they deserve.”

It has been made obvious through his tweet that there are no personal grudges or misunderstanding that caused Jack to leave the show rather it is his busy schedule due to filming commitments in the US.

Journey As The Host Of BRIT Awards

Jack Whitehall was welcomed as the anchor of the show in 2018. Prior to him, The BRIT Awards were hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis. Ant and Dec had the control of the baton for two consecutive years before Dermot and Emma.

After doing his job diligently for four years, Jack has decided it’s time to move on. The host for the 2022 event is not announced as of now, but we know one thing for sure and that is – The BRIT Awards ceremony 2022 has been confirmed to return to London’s O2.

Other Changes

The co-president of BRIT Awards Polydor will also be seeing a change in position when he takes over as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2022.

This year’s event saw standout performances from Taylor Swift, Elton John, The Weeknd, Coldplay and Dua Lipa at one of the first live music events in the UK following the global pandemic.
