Is Megan Thee Stallion Joining BTS Concert After Skipping AMAs?

On Saturday, November 27, BTS’ comeback performance; titled ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ aka ‘PTD on Stage,’ went viral after they took the stage at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Megan Thee Stallion was supposed to be performing with the South Korean foursome on day two of the event; which drew the attention of the BTS Army once more. On Twitter, many fan-made films appeared that hinted at the rapper joining the K-pop icons on stage.

The ‘Savage’ singer had been supposed to perform with BTS at the American Music Awards (AMAs) in 2021; but she cancelled due to an “unexpected personal matter”. The 26-year-old emcee had tweeted about it, adding she was excited to perform with BTS with their joint smash single “Butter (Remix)” soon.

At the 2021 AMAs, the quartet performed the original ‘Butter’ without Megan. After a two-year hiatus, BTS made their official return to the stage with this concert. Before the world was shut down owing to the tragic worldwide epidemic, they had last performed offline in 2019.

On Sunday, November 28, the Grammy-winning rapper was apparently rehearsing with BTS at SoFi Stadium. The band was practising the song outside the arena, and those waiting outside could hear it. Despite the fact that the gates were closed, a few enthusiastic fans were able to get a glimpse of the stage; claiming that Megan was also present with the K-pop artists. Megan Thee Stallion and BTS have remained silent on social media about their rumoured appearance on ‘Butter (Remix)’.

“The way how everyone stop and looked at the stadiums when they heard Megan.”

Following their exciting performance on the first day, BTS will return to the stadium on November 28, December 1; and December 2, for a total of four concerts. Aside from the enthusiasm, the BTS performance was criticised for security difficulties at the site; where the management struggled to handle the large throng. As they attempted to enter the event securely, many took to Twitter to share their experiences.

The speculations of BTS and Megan Thee Stallion joining forces elicited a lot of excitement among BTS and Megan Thee Stallion fans. “The stadium’s going to vibrate once Megan hits the stage I just know it”, said one elated fan as another chimed in, “Yall better hype Megan up as soon as she hits that stage, no silent shit go all out.” One user posted, “The way how everyone stop and looked at the stadiums when they heard Megan.”

The next one shared, “Megan suddenly joining bts for butter in Los Angeles, reminds me of how Halsey appeared out of nowhere during BWL in Paris”. One tweeted, “Megan was spotted during BTS rehearsals, Megan is finally happening. we’re getting Megan live performance tonight.”
