IPL 2021: Good news for Delhi, as this top player is certain to make a real impact in IPL

Steve Smith, the star batsman for Australia’s cricket team, is set to play in the IPL’s last season despite missing the previous season due to an elbow injury.

The Indian Premier League season will resume on September 19th. The remaining IPL matches will be held in the United Arab Emirates due to the corona virus. Apart from Smith, Aaron Finch, the injured captain, is likely to be fit for the World Cup.

Former Australia captain Steve Smith was unable to join the Kangaroos on their tour of the West Indies and Bangladesh due to injuries. Smith had been dealing with the issue for the past year. Steve Smith, 32, has been practising for an hour at the camp in New South Wales, according to cricket.com.au, and is expected to play the rest of the IPL season.

Corona Virus on IPL

After the corona virus entered the bio-bubble in May, IPL 2021 was postponed. Because many players were afflicted with Covid-19 during the time.

Following that, the IPL was rescheduled. From September 19 to October 15, the Indian Premier League will be held in the United Arab Emirates. The T20 World Cup, on the other hand, will begin two days after the IPL concludes.

Here’s what Aaron Finch Said

“It appears that everything is going well,” Australia’s limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch said. “I know Smith is increasing his batting time by a few weeks, making sure that he doesn’t use the elbow too much as it can affect Smith.”
This year’s IPL auction saw Delhi Capitals add Steve Smith to their team for Rs 2.2 crore. Smith is improving, according to Aaron Finch, who added, “When I spoke with him last time, he claimed there was no pain when hitting, and he is a vital part of our team.”

Finch also discussed his fitness during this time. He had knee surgery lately and should be ready for the T20 World Cup by then. I am certain that I will be fit until the T20 World Cup, according to Finch. Finch was recently injured during the Test series against the West Indies, and he was unable to finish the game. Following that, he did not play in the Bangladesh series.
