In a new photo, the cast of Friends keeps their promise of a reunion

Friends cast members maintained their promise made at the reunion special, according to a new photo released on Instagram. The cast of the popular NBC series reunited for a two-hour HBO Max special that aired in late May. There, the cast discussed the show’s impact on their lives, shared personal memories and secrets, and reenacted iconic scenes treasured by Friends fans who have waited 17 years for the group to reunite since the series ended in 2004.

Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry appeared as six twenty-something friends who lived and worked together in New York City in the film Friends. Throughout the 10-year course of the show, the group formed their own family and went through various life events.

Relationships, weddings, children, funerals, and career changes all played a part in bringing them closer together and keeping viewers smiling as they navigated life. The series’ final episode, which aired in May 2004, received 51.1 million people, making it one of the most watched finale episodes in television history, alongside NBC’s Cheers, Seinfeld, and CBS’ MAS*H.

Happy 4th!

The cast members promised in the reunion episode that they would never wait that long to get back together in one room again, as it had been nearly two decades after the series finished. Cox, Aniston, and Kudrow appeared to have kept their word. The women gathered to celebrate the July 4th holiday in a new Instagram snap provided by Courteney Cox. Cox provided two photos in a slideshow. She stood solo beside Laura Dern from Jurassic World: Dominion in one and with her Friends co-stars in another.

It remains to be seen how frequently the complete group will keep their bonds. The performers’ amicable chat appeared genuine as they reminisced about the good times they had on NBC during their decade of supremacy. Cox and Aniston are linked not only by their work on the show, but also by their personal lives.

Coco, Cox’s daughter with David Arquette, has Aniston as her godmother. While another Friends reunion on television is improbable, fans may have to satiate their desire with social media shares in order to see their favourite comedy performers reunite one more.
