How Kate Bishop Will Be Introduced To The MCU In Marvel’s Hawkeye

A new synopsis has revealed how Kate Bishop will be introduced to the MCU in the Marvel show, Hawkeye. What If…? is the animated series that is currently running its 9 episodes on Disney+, however, Hawkeye will be next in line to premiere.

Hawkeye will see the return of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton who was seen in Avengers: Endgame. It is based on the comics by Matt Fraction and David Aja. Loki and Black Widow got their solo debuts but now it’s time for Hawkeye to shine from November 24. Kate Bishop will be introduced as Hawkeye’s fangirl and a young archer.

We will also see Florence Pugh returning as Yelena Belova, continuing from Black Widow’s post-credits scene. The scene put Yelena and Clint on a collision course. Hawkeye will also see Vera Farmiga, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Fra Fee. In typical Marvel fashion, we have no idea what the plot is about but some new information has been revealed recently.

As per a synopsis found in a TV Guide Magazine’s fall preview issue, Hawkeye will be a “holiday tale set in snowy New York City”. This was posted on Reddit by user magikarcatcher. It is also revealed that it will find Clint giving Kate a special gift, which is his bow and arrow. When Clint met her for the first time, he did not understand her obsession with him and had no idea who she is.

This is as per the show’s executive producer Trinh Tran. The synopsis also confirmed that the show is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop has already been teased in the first official image which was released from the show. In the comics, Kate is Clint’s successor and it has been assumed it will be the same in the Disney+ series as well.

Avengers passing down their mantle is not a new concept and has become a trend in the MCU. We saw Sam Wilson struggling to accept Captain America’s mantle and Black Widow showcased Natasha Romanoff’s natural successor will be Yelena Belova.
