How Jatin Sarna aka Bunty from Sacred Games bagged a cameo in Rajinikanth starrer Darbar

Jatin Sarna who rose to fame with the much-loved web show, Sacred Games is heading into 2020 with Rajinikanth starrer Darbar and Kabir Khan directorial 83’.

While Jatin is playing ace cricketer Yashpal Sharma in 83’, it is a lesser-known fact that the actor will also be seen in AR Murugadoss’ Darbar.

Playing a gangster in a cameo, it was a fanboy moment for Jatin to share the screen with the south superstar Rajinikanth.

On bagging a role in Darbar, Jatin shares, “ One day I was attending my theatre rehearsal and I got a call from Nalini Ratnam, a well-known casting director. She called me up saying, Jatin, AR Murugadoss is making a film with Rajinikanth sir and there is a cameo if you are interested. So can we push your name? To which I asked her out of curiosity what exactly it is? Will I be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth sir? She said yes, definitely. She further adds I have said no to them but still, I wanted to connect with and know whether you want to do it or no. I said definitely I would want to do. Because if Rajinikanth sir is there and AR Murugadoss directing it, though it is a cameo and very first scene of the film I feel I think my only thing was I wanted to work with Rajinikanth sir. Recently, I watched Kaala, I have watched multiple films but especially after watching it I always had this thing that I wanted to work with Rajini sir. I also framed a poster of Rajini sir’s dialogue ‘Kya re?’ and put it up in my house. So, whenever I use to see it I felt he is talking to me. And immediately after two days, I got a call to work with him in Darbar”.

While talking about his experience, Jatin further adds, “Working experience was fantastic. Rajinikanth sir is so humble and down to earth and also everyone else on the sets. My curiosity was just increasing day by day. It was a great time working with AR Murugadoss and Rajini Sir”.

Post the humongous success of Sacred Games part 1, Jatin has become a household name across quarters and with Sacred Games two the actor gained even more popularity amongst the masses.

While still celebrating the success of his web show the actor immediately got into the shoot for his two upcoming films and is extremely honoured and equally excited to have worked on both the upcoming releases.

It is a lesser-known fact that the actor has worked on multiple films and plays in the past and is all set for a Pongal release with Darbar and an April release with 83’.
