The images included Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Paddy Considine; Olivia Cooke, and Matt.

House of the Dragon will revolve around the story of the Targaryen family in Westeros. It is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The drama is from showrunners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. Meanwhile, George R. R. Martin will be the executive producer and is also the author.

House of The Dragons Reveals Sneak Peek

The Game of Thrones prequel had given fans a little bit of a sneak peek as they go into production in 2021. The official account of GoT revealed the first look at the show. It gave us a first look into the mythical creatures from the show’s upcoming series. The prequel to Game of Thrones is titled, House of the Dragon. “Dragons are coming,” the tweet reads as the pictures of a red dragon were revealed. And of course, referring to the name itself the creature is a big part of the series.

The original HBO series was based on the books written by George R.R. Martin. Game of Thrones ended after eight whole seasons back in May 2019. As everybody knew at the time, fans were not happy with the ending of the show.

Fans were furious with the way the character of Daenerys Targaryen ended. However, the demise of the Mother of Dragons did not stop HBO from plotting multiple shows from the original fantasy. Another prequel that is still in its developmental stages stars Naomi Watts.

She will play the role of a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret. The prequel was set to “chronicle the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.” The project had initially started as the network filmed the pilot. However, HBO chose not to move ahead with the project.

House of the Dragon is said to be based upon the author’s book Fire & Blood and it will revolve around the members of House Targaryen. It is a companion book of the original series which is about the history of the Targaryens. House Targaryen ruled over Westeros for 300 years, before Robert’s Rebellion ended their reign. The show is said to have 10 episodes and as GoT fans know, Targaryens have a special connection with dragons.

It is quite obvious that dragons will be part of the show. Paddy Considine will be playing King Viserys Targaryen as announced in October. His character is chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaegaerys Targaryen. Although we do not know if fans will love the prequel as much as they loved Game of Thrones, we sure know dragons might have excited the fans all over. The show by HBO is expected to be released by 2022. It will have the reign of the Targaryen family in the Seven Kingdoms.
