He is just Passionate about Winning – Kyle Jamieson on Virat Kohli

New Zealand and Royal Challengers Banglore(RCB) pacer Kyle Jamieson reflected on his experience of playing under one of the most famous personalities of current cricket, Virat Kohli. He praised King Kohli for his captaincy and also stated that as much as fierce Virat is on the field, he is even more welcoming off the cricket ground.

Kyle Jamieson got Virat Kohli out in both the innings of the WTC final held at Lords two months ago.The tall pacer generates extra bounce off the pitch which Virat wasn’t able to tackle.Virat was even asked a cheeky question in the post match presentation about how he felt losing his wicket to his IPL team-mate. Virat, with an innocent smile on his face, had a laugh first and then appreciated the talent Jamieson has.

In a chat on Baz and Izzy for Breakfast, Jamieson lauded Virat Kohli for his intense passion for winning. He elaborated,”He is a lovely guy. I have played against him a couple of times and obviously, he is quite intense and quite fierce in the field, but off the park, he is so nice and welcoming. He just loves to win as well. He could be at it on the field and stuff, but he is just passionate about being there, about winning.”

Jamieson on playing in a world class tournament like IPL:

“It’s good to see how different guys work. We have got some good overseas players in our group. So, yes, pretty fortunate to be involved in a tournament like that.”

Kyle also expressed his disappointment on missing the opportunity to explore India’s culture due to the covid crisis. He recalled how the country was in lockdown during the first phase of IPL 2021.

“India was under lockdown when I was there. So we were pretty much in bubbles. I kind of missed out on that experience which is a shame. Hopefully, once this thing gets down, I can get back there and get a taste of what it’s really like,” Jamieson added

Kyle Jamieson performs the role of all-rounder for RCB and has produced fascinating results for the team.He bowls his full quota of four overs for the team and chips in with the bat when the team is facing hard time.IPL fans are curious to see RCB’s performance in the second leg of IPL as RCB dominated the first leg.IPL’s second phase will start on September 19 with the two giants CSK and MI going to head-to-head.
