Harry Styles In Talks To Star With Lily James For Amazon Studios Movie

Amazon Studios has closed a deal with Berlanti Schechter Productions to produce an untitled pic based on the acclaimed novel My Policeman. But here’s the catch, it might include Harry Styles with Lily James.

Production is said to begin next summer in 2021. My Policeman is a queer-themed novel that opens in 1999 when a man named Patrick — who is ill — visits the home of an old married couple named Tom and Marion.

This unveils the love triangle between these three characters in Brighton, England in the 1950s, when homosexuality was still illegal. Although Tom and Marion married each other during this time, Tom and Patrick were actually in love with one another.

Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Robbie Rogers will be producing the movie along with Cora Palfrey; and Philip Herd at Independent Film Company and MGC.

Lily can be seen in the upcoming Netflix drama, Rebecca opposite Armie Hammer and Kristin Scott Thomas. She is also a part of the Netflix movie, The Dig, which is currently in post-production. The actress is also working on the limited series The Pursuit of Love, which is also at Amazon.

As for Harry, he recently signed New Line thriller Don’t Worry Darling, which also stars Florence Pugh. My Policeman will be his second movie. The singer had appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, before committing to these two projects.

Harry’s fans were all over the place when they heard the news. Their excitement did not just contain to Harry signing another movie, but also to be starred alongside Lily. “WHAT THE HECK WAIT HARRY IS GOING TO BE IN ANOTHER MOVIE NOW WITH LILY JAMES- ACTOR HARRY IS REALLY COMING HARD,” one fan shout-tweeted. Another fan asked people to imagine the power of having Harry and Lily on the screen.

A third fan gushed, “Harry styles and Lily James being in a movie together is my entire sexuality”. Harry has made his mark on the music industry and just like him, Lily has also had an impressive reputation. She starred in Downton Abbey as Lady Rose MacClare between 2012-2015.

The actress has also been part of blockbuster movies like Cinderella, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Baby Driver and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. 

It has not even been a week since it was announced that Harry will be replacing Shia LaBeouf in the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling. The singer has had a good year so far with back-to-back announcements. And especially when it comes to seeing him on-screen.
