Halsey Detailed How Pregnancy Impacted Her Body Image

Halsey is sharing more information about her mindset while she expects her first child.

The singer took to her social media handle to post a series of pictures. It included a shot of her showing her growing baby bump and several food photos. She also included a heartfelt message about how her pregnancy is making her feel about her body.

The singer wrote how February is the shortest month but the days seem like they are taking very long. But she said it still feels its going very fast and she has been thinking a lot about her body. She wrote, “Butttttt also going so fast?! I’ve been thinking lots about my body. it’s strange to watch yourself change so quickly. I thought pregnancy would give me very strong, binary feelings about ‘womanhood’ but truly it has leveled my perception of gender entirely.”

Halsey further wrote how her sensitivity to her body has made her very aware of her humanness. She wrote it is a remarkable thing and she hopes the feeling will last. The singer shared, “My sensitivity to my body has made me hyper aware of my humanness and that’s all. Doing a remarkable thing. And it’s grand. I hope the feeling lasts. I cook a lot, sleep even more, and read lotssss of books. I miss my family. And you guys too!”

The singer had surprised her fans when she announced the news of her pregnancy via Instagram. She announced she is expecting her very first child with her boyfriend, Alev Aydin. Her post featured photos of her holding her baby bump as her boyfriend commented on it with, “Heart so full, I love you, sweetness.” 

Halsey Opened Up About Her Endometriosis

The singer responded to her beau as she wrote, “I love you!!!!!! And I love this mini human already.” She had captioned the announcement picture, “Surprise!” along with a milk bottle and angel emoji.

Alev also posted the news on his social media handle as he shared Halsey’s post on his Instagram story with two heart emojis. The couple had sparked romance rumors earlier this year in January as Halsey posted a photo of him on her Instagram.

However, the couple had still not confirmed their relationship status. Fans might recall that the singer had revealed previously that she is freezing her eggs due to endometriosis. It is a painful disorder that can lead to infertility where tissue that normally lines insider the uterus is present or grows outside the uterus.

The singer had shared in an episode of The Doctors that doing an ovarian reserve is important to her because she is fortunate enough to have that as an option. She said she needs to be aggressive about protecting her fertility about protecting herself.

Halsey had suffered a miscarriage back in 2015 while she was on tour. She shared, “When I started touring and playing concerts and traveling, the stress and strain on my body really started to enhance the symptoms and make the experience a little bit worse.”

Halsey had recently appeared on Youtuber David Dobrick’s podcast Views as he gifter her a Tiffany teddy bear. The singer was extremely happy as she exclaimed, “Shut up! Are you serious?” She described it as cute and went on to share that this was her first pregnancy present. The singer also revealed that she does not have any friends.
