Gigi Hadid sure knows how to surprise the world by revealing she is expecting a child with Zayn Malik. She made the announcement on April, when she was already a few months into the pregnancy.
Recently, when Gigi was on an Instagram live with activist Sophia Roe, a fan asked her how she managed to keep her bump under wraps. Gigi responded saying this angle and really baggy clothes make an optical illusion. She revealed it is a different story from the side. Gigi wished the fan good luck when even she said she is pregnant.
On the live stream, Gigi was sitting face forward wearing an oversized beige jumpsuit to hide her baby bump. Her hair was tied back in a slick bun. She had no makeup on.
The Instagram live with chef and welfare advocate Sophia Roe was to educate her fans to be better allies for black people during this time. They discussed a variety of issues related to the Black Lives Matter movement.
The supermodel has been spending her quarantine with her mom, Yolanda Hadid. They are living in Yolanda’s ranch in Pennsylvania amid the coronavirus pandemic. Gigi found out about her pregnancy in late February when she was going around the world for Fashion Week.
Zayn and Gigi first started dating in 2015. They broke up in March 2018 though they reconciled later that year itself. The couple broke up again in January 2019 but reconciled earlier this year.
An insider revealed that the on-and-off couple were so in love that Gigi always wanted to start a family with Zayn. However, Gigi did not confirm the news of her pregnancy until she came on the show on Jimmy Fallon. She revealed at the time that they wanted to announce it on their own. Gigi assures that they are very excited and grateful for all the love and support they have received.
Meanwhile, after Gigi confirmed the news publicly, an insider revealed that Zayn is very excited and happy to be beside Gigi during this time. ‘Even when there were times that they weren’t a couple, the love was still very much there,’ added the source.
During quarantine, the supermodel is trying to stay active on her social media handle with almost 55 million followers. She has been constantly talking about the causes close to her heart, family, and fashion.
Gigi recently revealed her latest campaign for Chanel. She shared a photograph of herself showing her midriff in a flowing black crop top with colorful embroidery. Gigi gushed that she had been waiting since December to share this dream.
