Gigi Hadid Doesn’t Feel The Need To Be Size Zero After Baby
Gigi Hadid has broken down the stereotypes of being size zero. As she became a mother, she has changed her priorities.
After the model gave birth to her first daughter, Khai, who she shares with Zayn Malik, Gigi shared how she is reexamining things. The model revealed she is re-examining her relationship with her body.
She shared that she knows that she is not as small as she was before but described herself as a real thinker. The model had posed for Vogue’s March 2021 cover after only 10 weeks postpartum. She shared that she told the team that she will shoot the cover but won’t be size zero.
Gigi said, “I straight up was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll shoot a Vogue cover, but I’m obviously not going to be a size 0,’ nor do I, at this point, feel like I need to be back to that.” She further added that she feels it is a blessing of this time in fashion because anyone that tells her she has to be that, “can suck it”.
The model said, “I also think it’s a blessing of this time in a fashion that anyone who says that I have to be that can suck it.” she had recently done a Vogue video as she explained her skincare routine and makeup hacks. The model opened up about a change in pigmentation on her face, especially around the eyes.
“..this is not how I look every day”
However, she did not bother about it and decided to just let it happen. She explained that it is natural and she knows it was going to go away after she gave birth. The model added, “I think just to not be hard on yourself and it’s part of the process,”
Gigi also opened up about struggling to pamper herself in the months since baby Khai was born. She shared that she knows sometimes she is not washing her face and neither brushes her hair for a few days as well. However, she said, “I just want to remind those of you watching that this is not how I look every day. Sometimes I go a week without touching makeup and just putting on deodorant is like, we’re doing great.”
The model has a new ink on her arm which is in Arabic. It is Khai’s name in the language and her boyfriend, Zayn also dons a similar design on his wrist.
Gigi Hadid thanked fans and well-wishers for their gifts and flood of support. The announcement of Zayn Malik and Gigi’s baby took the internet by storm as fans claimed the news saved this year.
The model has now taken time out to pen her feelings after receiving gifts from her and Zayn’s fans. Gigi shared her handwritten note and said she wants to put it out there while she has the time. She said when she says Thank Yous here, she thinks of the various generous gifts the new parents have received which hasn’t gotten a public thanks.
Gigi Thanks Fans
The new mother wrote, “I am overwhelmed with how many beautiful things this little one has already been spoiled with by people I love – and I will slowly probably share them.” Gigi shared that the thank you cards are on their way. She also said If she hasn’t posted about something, it is not because of a lack of gratitude.
The model explained that she is trying to adjust and get it all sorted out while her baby girl naps. She said, “SO MUCH LOVE. SO MUCH GRATITUDE. WE ARE BLESSED. IF YOU HAVE SENT SOMETHING, EVEN A MESSAGE, THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU X G.”
Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid had posted a cute snap of her granddaughter on social media. She shared the picture of the newborn’s hands wrapped around her fingers. Yolanda wrote how her heart is expanding with so much love. She said, “My heart is expanding with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above…..”
