From the Big Screen to Big Business: Kali Hawk Rules with H.CROWNE

Actress and Entrepreneur Kali Hawk hasbuilt an amazing brand as an actress. You might know her for starring in comedies such as BridesmaidsCouples Retreat, Fifty Shades of BlackNew Girl and Black Jesus, but this bombshell is now taking the fashion industry by storm.

Hawk launched her luxury jewelry line, H.CROWNE 4 years ago and has already had every major celebrity you can think of in her jewels and iconic crowns. Beyonce, Kylie Jenner, Madonna, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Serena Williams, Ariana Grande, Hailey Bieber, Janet Jackson and Taylor Swift are just a few of the many that have been spotted in her jewels. This summer, the company is also receiving its first big screen credit for its jewelry contribution to the upcoming Deon Taylor film Fatale, which stars Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank.

Kali Hawk is the first black female jeweler to have her custom pieces featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, and also on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar when Madonna rocked H.CROWNE jewelry for the 150th anniversary issue. Controversial singer Kesha also rocked her jewelry on a recent special cover of Billboard Magazine. And Mary J. Blige can be seen wearing an assortment of Hawk’s multi-colored jewels on the cover of Self Magazine this month. Her sales have gone up 80% since the beginning of the year, and the company has grown by 91% since launching.

When Hawk began receiving a high demand from everyday consumers, she made it her priority to offer options of beautiful jewelry at an affordable rate, so that fans could match their favorite celebrities as well. The “Subscription Box” option also became available this year, so that a range of customers can experience new samples each month as they’re being produced. A convenient idea, the subscription box is essentially a monthly sample sale that comes directly to your home. No other fashion brand allows customers the chance to have advance access to new potential merchandise in this way.

According to Forbes, Hawk created the company almost 4 years ago with her own money, and presently retains full ownership.
