Season 2 of Netflix’s Space Force has officially began filming, and star Ben Schwartz celebrated by sharing a new photo with his castmates. The show featured the colorful workforce of the titular government department, which was created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell. On May 29, 2020, the streaming service launched Space Force. Despite mixed reviews, it was a hit with the audience, and it was renewed for a second season in November 2020.
Season 2 of Space Force has now began filming. Schwartz (who played the agency’s social media director) celebrated the occasion by sharing a candid behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram. Schwartz was seen in a line with fellow cast members Don Lake, Tawny Newsome, Jimmy O. Yang, and Diana Silvers, who are all smiling. Take a look at the image below:
Space Force is a workplace comedy-drama series focusing on a group of people tasked with developing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Space Force, according to the Netflix synopsis. It follows General Mark Naird’s efforts to put “boots on the moon” by 2024, as directed by the president.

Tony Scarapiducci was played by Schwartz, Captain Angela Ali was played by Newsome, Dr. Chan Kaifang was played by Yang, Brigadier General Bradley Gregory was played by Lake, and Erin Naird was played by Silvers. Noah Emmerich, Jane Lynch, Diedrich Bader, Patrick Warburton, Lisa Kudrow, Kaitlin Olson, and the late, great Fred Willard were among the many famous guest stars in the comedy.
