Eminem worried Mariah Carey’s memoir will uncover dark secrets about their ‘toxic relationship’
There might just be something that’s keeping Slim Shady up at night. Eminem has lately been stressing over his ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey’s upcoming memoir.

“Writing this memoir was incredibly hard, humbling and healing”

The other week, Carey celebrated her upcoming memoir, The Meaning Of Mariah Carey, revealing that she had just finished penning it. The memoir was initially announced last year. Recently, Mariah officially confirmed that the book will be out on September 29.

She wrote in an Instagram Post, “This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me, a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became, tell her side. Writing this memoir was incredibly hard, humbling and healing. My sincere hope is that you are moved to a new understanding. Not only about me but also about the resilience of the human spirit.”
Carey’s fans have been highly anticipating the singer’s latest project, however, there is someone who isn’t looking forward to it.
“Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey”
According to sources, Eminem is worried that the singer’s tell-all book will spill hidden secrets about their extremely toxic relationship. The 47-year-old artist, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, ‘knows that Mariah is going to say very negative things about him.’ And ‘is expecting the onslaught, in fact he almost welcomes it,’
An insider source revealed, “Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey. They had a very toxic relationship. Marshall [Eminem] is stressed out that Mariah is going to say s**t. That he was bad in bed or a selfish lover because he has always been very insecure about that.” Adding that Mariah “knows that.”

The former lovers have been in a long running feud and have even openly called each other out in the past. Both musicians have a history of getting back at each other, especially through their tracks. Eminem has cited Carey in two tracks on his 2002 album, The Eminem Show. They are Superman and When The Music Stops.
“I just don’t like her as a person”
In a July 2002 Interview, Eminem spoke about how he felt regarding Mariah. “I don’t want to say anything disrespectful because I respect her as a singer,” Eminem said. “But on the whole personal level, I’m not really feeling it. I just don’t like her as a person.” He said, “I gotta be honest, I learned a lesson from it. Don’t believe the hype. I have respect for her, but she doesn’t really have it all together. I’ll just say that and that she’s a beautiful woman.”

Going Back And Forth
Those who expected Carey to sit there and take it, were proven horribly wrong. Mariah went on to diss the Rap God maker in her 2002 track, Clown. In the song, The Hero singer went on to claim that she was never involved with The Real Slim Shady artist.
She seemed to have touched a nerve. Because seven years later, Eminem dissed both Carey and her former husband, Nick Cannon, in his song Bagpipes From Baghdad.

Mariah’s response? She came out with her song Obsessed. The music video depicts a stalker making him look like a jealous fool.

Eminem retaliated by releasing a track called The Warning, addressing her Obsessed video and calling her derogatory slurs.
In his lyrics for the 2019 track, Fat Joe Lord Above, the rapper continued to slander Carey. “I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note/But that other dude’s whipped, that p****got him neutered/Tried to tell him this chick’s a nut job before he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon’ do s***/I let her chop my b***s off, too ‘fore I lost to you, Nick.’

Only time will tell what Mariah has in store for the singer. She might have just buried the hatchet or provoke Eminem to write another diss track. Looks like we’ll be waiting till September 29 to find out.
