Eminem has asked for Rihanna’s forgiveness after once siding with Chris Brown back in 2009. The rapper has sided with Chris for 10 years back when he had pleaded guilty to felony assault.
However, the artist has now offered his apologies to Rihanna with his new song, Zeus. In his unreleased song, Music To Be Murdered By, he has issued an apology. He raps, “But, me, long as I re-promise to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna / For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri / It wasn’t meant to cause you grief.”
Eminem ended the verse by admitting that it was wrong of him to do that. The unreleased song from Eminem has been allegedly recorded back in 2009 during sessions for Relapse which leaked on Reddit. He had claimed that he sides with Chris and that he’d “beat a b**** down”.
The rapper had also rapped in a snippet from the song that claimed she had a “VD”. However, the diss track did not make it to the album’s final cut. The reworked version had appeared on B.o.B’s Things Get Worse back in 2011.
Dennis Dennehy, the former Interscope executive had told XXL after the leak that the leak is of something that is over ten years old. He clarified that Eminem recorded it, scrapped it, and rewrote it again. According to him, he and Rihanna have a great relationship.
The duo has had collaborators who have teamed up for superhits like Numb, The Monster. Their superhit collaboration for their biggest hit Love The Way You Lie came a year later after the rapper had scrapped his diss track.

However, his apology was overdue since he sided with Chris over Rihanna. The singer had brutally assaulted his then-girlfriend, which was the Fenty founder. The incident was when they were in a car after the 2009 Grammy Awards. She was left with a black eye, swollen lip, and other injuries that needed immediate attention.
Chris was charged with felony assault and sentenced to five years in prison. He also had 1400 hours of community service to complete. Rihanna had not openly talked about the brutal attack until months later. She told ABC that they had started arguing after she found texts from another woman on his phone.
She explained that there was no person when she looked at him as he hit her. The singer said, “He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank.” However, despite the incident, they had come together in 2012 as they recorded Birthday Cake. The former couple did not rekindle their romance but it has not stopped Chris from trying to win her back over the years.
