Ed Sheeran Reveals His Eight Month Old Daughter’s Reaction To His Songs

Ed Sheeran admitted that his eight-month-old daughter “just cried” while he is singing his new songs.

Singer-songwriter and his wife Cherry, who live in Suffolk, confirmed the birth of their first child in September.

‘Not My Biggest Fan’

He said Lyra “was not my biggest fan”, although she liked the odd song.

“She really likes Shape Of You, the sound of marimba is good, but she doesn’t like anything big or boring,” he said.

The couple say they are “on the ninth cloud” shortly after announcing the arrival of their first child, whom they named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

What Else Did He Say?

Sheeran is joining the likes of AJ Tracey, Celeste and Coldplay for Radio 1’s Big Weekend of Live Music and opted to perform his set at Snape Maltings.

Speaking to Jordan North Radio 1, the 30-year-old said he felt “very lucky to be able to do what I love as a career” and to have more money “than I need”.

He said: “I like to do a lot of things in charities, keeping them close.”

Earlier this month Sheeran was appointed as the new sponsor of the home kit with Ipswich Town next season.

He said the conversation with the club began in 2019, when he made a custom-T-shirt for his gigs to be played at Ipswich.

Sheeran’s Latest Sponsorship Deal

The Tractor Boys fan said: “I started sponsoring Framlingham Town Under-11 girls team, they emailed me… and then I was like, I wonder how it is to sponsor Ipswich?”

He knew that the deal with the previous sponsor would expire this year.

“So I just asked, ‘Do you people need a sponsor?’ and they were like, ‘Of course’ ‘, he said.

“It’s been a long, long process.

“I think the positive reaction stems from the negative reaction from the European Super League.
