Ed Sheeran and Wife, Cherry Seaborn Expecting Their First Child in Weeks

Ed Sheeran and his wife are expecting their very first child together. The couple is only weeks away from welcoming their baby.

The singer and wife, Cherry Seaborn have kept their pregnancy under wraps during the global pandemic. A source told The Sun that the couple is ‘over the moon’ and very excited but have kept things lowkey. The source further added that lockdown made it much easier since nobody had to go out and about.

However, the source reveals that things are coming closer because of which the couple has started telling their friends and family. ‘They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer. It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival,’ sources said.

Ed recently had announced that he is taking a break from his career to focus on traveling and his personal life. The singer confirmed last summer that he and Cherry got married in a private ceremony in January 2019. Ed and Cherry have been together for five years before tying the knot.

The singer revealed that Cherry was his wife in an interview with Charlamagne The God to promote his album No.6 Collaborations Project. Charlamagne had asked him about the lyrics which referred to his wife. Ed revealed in response that he wrote the song before getting married. He also said he knew that by the song comes out he will be married.

According to The Sun, the couple got married in a private ceremony with only 40 guests including his family and close friends. The couple did not want it to be a big deal. Cherry wanted it to go smoothly without any problems or intrusions.

The duo got engaged in January 2018 and Ed announced it on his social media in a sweet post. He captioned the image saying he got himself a fiance right before the new year. The singer assured they are very happy and in love and joked that their cats are chuffed as well.

Taylor Swift, Ed’s best friend, posted a picture on Instagram which saw the couple kissing. The couple is said to have started dating in 2015. Ed and Cherry first met as children when they both attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk. However, Cherry went to the US for university but she came back to the UK to be with the singer.

Ed opened up about his relationship in an interview and said this life is what he has signed up for. “I’m starting a life with Cherry,’ he said, adding: ‘I can’t spend the next 20 years on the road. Kids would be a different thing. I wouldn’t mind sacrificing for them. If someone told me you can’t tour again for the next ten years if you have kids that is fine, because that is what I have signed up for.”

Ed also said he feels lucky every day that Cherry has chosen him. He said he constantly wakes up and thinks why she is with him despite that she can be with anyone. The singer also says that his wife does not add fuel to the fire. And that she has chosen to be with him in spite of all the things wrong with him.

During the lockdown, Ed is said to have taken up gardening and growing his own fruits and vegetables. He is embracing the quiet life amid lockdown with Cherry at their estate.
