Dwayne Johnson has stated that he will not return to the Fast and Furious franchise

Dwayne Johnson has stated that he will not be appearing in any future Fast and Furious films. Dwayne Johnson, who plays Luke Hobbs in the Fast and Furious franchise, had a falling out with main star Vin Diesel during the production of 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, which led to the actor’s departure from the following instalment, Fast and Furious 9.

Vin recently stated that Dwayne’s improved performance in the movies was due to his “tough love” approach.
Dwayne Johnson, when asked about Vin’s remark, told The Hollywood Reporter, “I chuckled heartily, and I guffawed hard. That made me chuckle, and I think it made everyone else laugh as well. That’s all I’ve got to say about it.”

The actor went on to say, “I’ve also wished them well. On Fast 9, I wish them luck. And I wish them the best of luck with Fast 10 and Fast 11, as well as the remaining Fast & Furious films they will make without me.”

In a Men’s Health interview, Vin addressed the rivalry between him and Dwayne Johnson, saying, “I’m capable of delivering a lot of harsh love. Not quite Felliniesque, but I’d go to any length to obtain performances in whatever project I’m working on.”

Dwayne Johnson originally played Luke Hobbs in Fast Five in 2011, and he then reprised the role in Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), and The Fate of the Furious (2016). (2017).

In 2019, he co-starred in the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off film, alongside Jason Statham, who reprised his role as Deckard Shaw from the long-running series.
