Duchess Of Cambridge Kate Middleton Gets First Doze Of COVID Vaccine

Kate Middleton has recently received her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

On Saturday morning, Kate, 39, shared that she received her first vaccine on Friday, after returning home following her and Prince William’s journey in Scotland.

‘I’m Hugely Grateful’

“Yesterday I received my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the London Museum in London. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for all you do,” wrote the Duchess of Cambridge on social media accounts.

Kate was wearing a classic top and jeans to get the vaccine shot at the London Science Museum – a short distance from Kensington Palace, where she and her husband lived with their three children.

William, who was infected with COVID-19 last year, also received his first dose of vaccine there earlier this month.

Infections In The Royal Family

Last November, it was revealed that William contracted COVID-19 last spring. His father, Prince Charles, 72, also contracted the virus. A source told The Sun at the time that William had been struck hard by the “virus.” He lived alone in his country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, along with his family, and was seen by royal doctors there.

Unlike his father, who revealed that he had contracted the virus last March, William did not disclose his illness at the time as he did not want to shock the public that he too was ill.

Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall,  have already had their COVID-19 vaccinations, just like Queen Elizabeth, who received a second in March before her first appearance of the year.

Kate And Williams Trip To Scotland

Kate and William have just returned home following their trip to Scotland.

To express her gratitude to all the people who met the couple, the royal mother – who holds a degree in art history from the University of St. Petersburg. Andrews – shared a wonderful sketch of a college town of these couples where they met and fell in love with a thank you note.

“To the people, communities and organisations we visited and heard from; and those who stopped to wave and make our return to Scotland so special — thank you!” read the message on the card.
