Drake Bell’s Ex-Girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt Accuses Him of Abuse

Yet another celebrity has been accused of abuse. Drake Bell is accused of abuse by his ex-girlfriend, Melissa Lingafelt.

Melissa goes by the name Jini Ono on social media came out to accuse Drake of abuse in a TikTok video. She accused the actor of both physical and verbal abuse during their relationship. However, Drake has denied these allegations.

In a statement given to People, the actor denied abusing his ex-girlfriend. He also denies having done anything else that Melissa claimed on her TikTok video. Melissa dated the ‘Drake & Josh‘ star in 2006 for almost two years. She began her video saying she does not care if people believe her or not because it is her life and her story.

Melissa said she recently realized that not all women have to go through abuse. She said Drake and her began dating when she was 16-years-old and homeschooled. The singer and actress went on saying she moved in with him. She said she was singing and it wasn’t until about a year that he started verbally abusing her.

The actress said she went through the worst kind of verbal abuse. She claimed, “I moved in with him, I was singing. It wasn’t until about a year when the verbal abuse started,” she said. “And when I say verbal abuse, imagine the worst type of verbal abuse you could ever imagine, and that was what I got.”

Melissa’s Claims of Physical and Verbal Abuse

She claimed that it turned into physical abuse like hitting, throwing. Melissa accused Drake of dragging her down the stairs once during their relationship. “At the pinnacle of it, he drug [sic] me down the stairs of our house on Los Feliz. My face hit every step on the way down. I have photos of this,” the musician said. She did not share the photos on social media Wednesday.

The singer said she does not want to get into the underage girls’ thing because she is scared. She further shared two other TikTok videos where she got messages from others after she put up a story. Melissa shared screenshots of their direct conversations. One of the messages saw the person accusing Drake of having sex with a 15-year-old while he was 20.

Melissa claimed that few friends of hers are aware of the abuse she went through because of Drake. She said everybody who knows her for 15 years knows the abuse Drake put her through. The singer claimed to have a lot of witnesses and photos. She said, “If you don’t believe me, it is clear to me what kind of person you are, and I don’t need that on my side.”

Melissa further added nobody wants attention from abuse. She says she hopes that this gives strength to girls to come out and speak about their experiences. The actress claims she knows that Drake has hundreds of victims.

Drake Responds to Allegations

In Drake’s statement, he said, “As our relationship ended — more than a decade ago — we, unfortunately, both called each other terrible names, as often happens when couples are breaking up,” Bell says. “But that is it.”

He claimed that Melissa felt comfortable enough with him last year that she asked him for financial support. Drake says he is considering legal options because of the accusations.

He said, “I do not know if today’s behavior is some kind of misguided quest for more money or attention. But I cannot and will not allow these offensive and defamatory allegations to go unchallenged and I am reviewing my legal options.”

Since Melissa made her TikTok videos and shared stories on Instagram, Drake has been trending on Twitter. Some fans are out to cancel the actor while others are asking for proof as false allegations have been previously made on other celebrities as well.
