Divya Gandotra Tandon Is Back On Twitter After Her Sudden Disappearance And Is Ready To Start Afresh

Social media platforms are meant to serve as a means to express views and opinions, communicate with others, and share important updates about the world’s affairs. Though this is true, some people have been using the platforms for all the wrong reasons. As per a survey, more than 58% of young females face online harassment or abuse. Despite several efforts, nothing seems to put a full stop to such cases.

Recently, Divya Gandotra Tandon, a famous young entrepreneur from Jammu & Kashmir in India, suffered mental trauma as one person was constantly unacceptably bugging her. Not only was the person threatening to hurt her, but made it difficult to think in a sane manner. The online harassment took a mental toll on her, and she started feeling physically unsafe.

On 20th July 2021, Divya broke down completely and tweeted something which raised concerns for her in the minds of many people. However, Divya soon deleted the tweet from the platform, but not soon enough for a few of her followers to view it. The tweet indicated that Divya was losing her mind and could hurt herself fatally. One of the Twitter users Shivam Bhatt had seen her tweet and he immediately tweeted for help from a few IPS officers and the J&K police.

Luckily, IPS Arun Bothra came forward to help her and provided mental support to her. He made sure that she didn’t take any extreme steps and guided her out of the trauma. In the meanwhile, many of her followers tried to get an update on her wellbeing and were constantly trying to get in touch with her. Though they failed in doing so, today, Divya made a positive comeback on Twitter and assured everyone that she is fine now.

Divya tweeted, “There is always a new beginning.”. It meant that she was way past the incident and was looking forward to starting afresh. Though this isn’t the first time a girl has been harassed on Internet, seeing people come forward for help surely means that there is still some good left in the world.
