Disney+ Day Set To Take Place in November

Disney has marked their calendars as they officially set November 12, 2021, as Disney+ Day. The streaming platform has been the most successful to this date. It has been one of the only ones that have been able to give Netflix some competition.

The streaming platform especially came at a time that acted as an advantage, COVID-19. As movie theatres were shut, people relied on streaming platforms. Disney gave its viewers the option to stream big feature films for an additional fee. But that decision did not come smoothly as it landed them in legal trouble. Scarlett Johansson is pursuing legal action over the release of Black Widow.

Disney+ has always stuck with a promising release schedule. Out of many, one such initiative is the Marvel TV series which will commence the MCU phase 4. Disney+ got great success with WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. The fourth series is currently running as What If…? just released this week.

Disney+ also consists of animated series which are based on its classic and Pixar films. Monsters at Work has been released so far. The streaming platform also has Star Wars fans on their toes as they have The Bad Batch on top of The Mandalorian and other series which are potentially releasing.

What’s On Disney Plus confirmed that Disney+ Day will be celebrated on Friday, November 12. Disney+ Day also clashes with its quarterly financial call with investors. This is the call where fans get to know what’s in store as they announce the dates of numerous Disney releases. However, Investor’s Day has occurred before but this will be the first-ever Disney+ Day.

Investor Day 2021 Will Be As Exciting As Investor Day 2020

The date is also chosen for a specific reason. November 12 will mark the two year anniversary of Disney+ since it was released in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Netherlands. Since it’s the first Disney+ Day, it is hard to expect what exactly will the streaming platform have in store for the day.

This also lines up with Disney’s other major dates. Disney+’s Home Alone reboot is set to release on the same day. Even Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt will be taken down from Premier Access and will be free to all subscribers on that day. It is still not clear if these dates were intentionally picked to line up with Disney+ Day. It is possible that Disney will include an extra surprise or two on Disney+ Day.

This will surely be exciting for Disney fans. Investor day has already been guaranteed to give us exciting announcements like last year. Investor Day 2020 was extremely successful for Disney+ as it gave fans big announcements about the upcoming projects including classic animation, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. And it’s extremely likely that the same will be happening this year too.
