Salman Khan might end up as the highest earning Bollywood celeb of 2020 because of Bigg Boss 14.

Sources have informed MiD-Day that he has cracked a deal of Rs 450 crore with Colors and Endemol India. We had been hearing that he was going to be paid Rs 250 crore for the upcoming season but trade experts say it is just too less for Bhai.

The source told MiD-Day, “Salman had reportedly charged Rs 15.5 crore per episode last year. This time around, he has upped the price to Rs 20 crore per episode (2 Billion). While the three-month stint works out to Rs 480 crore (over 4 billion), the makers and he agreed to seal the deal at Rs 450 crore (4.5billion)

The amount is inclusive of his fees for promos and virtual press conferences. The producers at Endemol are willing to pay the remuneration as they know Salman is the primary reason for the show’s high TRPs.”

Bigg Boss 14': Will Salman Khan hosted reality show be further delayed?

It seems Salman Khan will spending his Saturdays in Film City, Goregaon for the shoot. A luxurious chalet is being made for him. Bigg Boss 13 saw an extension of five weeks. The last season was the biggest blockbuster ever on the TRP charts.

The source added that the contract included a cause about the season’s extension. He said, “The previous edition was extended by 10 episodes, with the actor charging Rs 7.5 crore per day. If the reality show doesn’t conclude this time within the agreed 12 weeks, Salman’s team and the producers will sit down to discuss the additional remuneration.”

Who Are The Contestants?

All eyes are right now on Bigg Boss 14. Names like Nia Sharma, Pavitra Punia, Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni and others are reportedly finalised for the show. They will also bring last year’s contestants as they are trending till now. The source said, “Some social media influencers, including YouTube and former TikTok stars, are being roped in as contestants. Previous Bigg Boss participants Siddharth Shukla, Rashami Desai and Shehnaaz Gill also make an appearance.”

With the popular reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 13 getting an extension, actor and host Salman Khan has also reportedly got a pay hike. Unconfirmed reports state he will be getting Rs85 million (Dh4.37 million) per episode, which marks a hike of Rs20 million from what he was earlier taking home.

Several reports claim that the Khan was getting paid Rs65 million per episode earlier, and a 20 million hike per episode would mean the Bollywood superstar will be taking home more than Rs2 billion for the entire season.

‘Bigg Boss 13’ was originally set to conclude in January. It is being reported that the show has been extended by another five weeks, and the finale will now be aired in February.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Colors channel, which airs the show, and ‘Bigg Boss’ producers Endemol, agreed to pay Khan an extra 20 million per episode to have him continue as host.

“Salman had made it very clear that he didn’t want to extend his stint on ‘Bigg Boss’ owing to other film commitments such as the post-production of ‘Dabangg 3’, and the shoot of ‘Radhe’. However, Colors lured him to stay on by adding the zeroes on his pay cheque,” said a source.

The source also claimed that Khan gets a bigger paycheck to come back as host every year.

“Each year, he initially refuses to return to ‘Bigg Boss’, and every time he is lured back with an enhanced remuneration. He gets paid more to anchor ‘Bigg Boss’ per season than all the other anchors in regional languages put together get for all the seasons put together,” the source added.

‘Bigg Boss 13’ features only celebrity contestants, with Arti Singh, Asim Riaz, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Himanshi Khurana, Mahira Sharma, Paras Chhabra, Rashami Desai, Shefali Jariwala, Shehnaz Gill, Sidharth Shukla, Vikas Fhatak (Hindustani Bhau) and Vishal Aditya Singh fighting to win the trophy.
