Demi Lovato uses her platform to tell fans and viewers something very important. The singer took to the stage of Billboard Music Awards 2020 on Wednesday to perform her powerful song, Commander in Chief.

She shared a video of a Black girl lip-syncing to the lyrics. “Were you ever taught when you were young… If you mess with things selfishly, they’re bound to come undone? I’m not the only one that’s been affected and resented every story you’ve spun.”
The singer released the entire version of her song on Wednesday morning. She also announced that she will be dropping a music video at 11 pm after the BBMAs.
Fans were speculating about Demi’s performance for the Billboard. Some fans thought she will be performing her break-up anthem, Still Have Me. Demi’s fans are convinced that her recent release with Still Have Me is a reference to her broken engagement with Max Ehrich.
The singer has not yet addressed her messy break-up and has been unbothered by the efforts of her ex. Max has been very vocal about his feelings and has shared images of him crying. He was also allegedly spotted by the paparazzi, crying on the Malibu beach where he proposed to Demi.
