Deepika Padukone to re-unite with Shah Rukh Khan for an action film?
Reportedly, Deepika Padukone is going to star in an action film alongside Shah Rukh Khan, which will be directed by Siddharth Anand!
Deepika Padukone had made her comeback this year with her powerful performance in Chhapaak. While the film could not do wonders at the box office, she was much appreciated by the critics. According to the latest reports, the actress is now all set to re-unite with Shah Rukh Khan.
A source told Pinkvilla, “She will mostly be romancing Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s big actioner. The production house has been in talks with the actress for the film. But she is yet to sign on the dotted line. Also, because of the Covid 19 scare around the country, they are yet to lock in dates for the schedules of the film. Once that is done, Deepika will work around her date schedule for the film.”
The source explained that right now, she has just been approached for the film. DP has liked the script as it has a powerful role for the female lead.
Talking about the announcement of the film, the source said, “Pre-Covid, the team had planned a huge event to announce all the big films with all the big actors who are starring in it, to commemorate YRF’s 50th year celebrations. Deepika and SRK’s film with the WAR director will also be announced as part of the YRF 50 announcement list, next month on Yashji’s birthday.”
This film will mark the return of DP and SRK on the screens after a long time. Their last release together was Happy New Year in 2014.
Meanwhile, the actress has a number of other projects in the pipeline. Shakun Batra’s untitled next, the remake of The Intern and the latest announced film with Prabhas.
