Dave Bautista’s comments about not wanting to be ‘lumped in’ with other WWE stars led John Cena to respond
When it came to Dave Bautista’s statements about not wanting to work with other wrestlers, including himself and Dwayne Johnson, John Cena was all praise. Cena defended Bautista’s position on Esquire’s Explain This, saying, “He truly wants to put forward a body of work that gives him his own identity.”
Cena stated that he was disappointed that he didn’t get the chance to work with him, but he went on to explain that he understands Bautista’s comments, saying, “Bautista is a great performer. He’s done some incredible things. However, I believe that the most essential thing to do when someone makes a comment like that is to try to see things from their point of view.
Cena was recently asked what he thought about Batista’s comments. The Cenation head expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, but he understood why those remarks were made. He then praised the Animal, stating that they had no beef.
Here’s What Bautista said
Dave has put in a lot of effort into his trade. And he’s completely devoted to his characters. And he genuinely wants to create a body of work that establishes his own individuality. That is something I completely understand.”
When asked if he would pair up with Dwayne Johnson and John Cena for a film, Bautista said, “Nah, I’m good!!” when asked. The Guardians of the Galaxy star went on to say that he doesn’t want to be “grouped in” with other WWE actors since he wants to play a diverse range of characters.
In his Esquire interview, Cena said Bautista is one of the “nicest” people he’s ever met, and that he can’t blame him for trying to carve out his own place in the acting industry and be recognised for it.
