Coronavirus Lockdown: Apply online like this e-pass, learn step by step guide

If you are from Delhi, you can apply for this e-Pass by visiting the official website of the government.

Locked down due to coronavirus across the country. During this time people have to stay at home. Some have been given work from home, while some have to go to work as the lock-down does not include the closure of grocery, medical stores, print and electronic media, telecommunications services. People who work in these places have to show a valid pass to go out. If you are from Delhi, then you can apply for this pass by visiting the official website of the government. However, it is stat for those people who are related to essential services such as manufacturing, transport, storage and shops but do not have a government or private ID.

At the same time, it is not only e-pass from here, but if one needs food, ration, facilities like compensation of Rs 5,000 and pension amount are also available for construction workers. These services is avail by visiting Delhi government portal.

Here’s how to apply e-Pass:

  1. For this, first you have to go to https://delhi.gov.in/. Here you will get the option of Click Here to Apply for ePass. Please click on it.
  2. After this you have to choose your language.
  3. After this, select the option of e-pass for travel during curfew from the given options and click on Submit.
  4. Now you have to fill information like your contact number, name, office address, service type, date, period for which you need a pass and district. Also you have to upload your ID proof. Apart from this, a copy of the visiting card, business or shop license will also have to be uploaded.
  5. After filling all the above information, click on Submit.

Track e-Pass status as follows:

  1. For this, first you have to go to https://delhi.gov.in/. Here you will get the option of Click Here to Apply for ePass. Please click on it.
  2. Here you will find the option of Check status at the top. In this, while applying ePass, you must have got a 7 digit ID and enter it.
  3. Then click on Check status again.
