Cardi B Defends Offset Giving Daughter Kulture a Birkin Bag for 2nd Birthday

Cardi B defends her husband who gave daughter Kulture a Birkin bag for her second birthday.

The rapper took to social media to shut down all the negativity. Cardi and Offset’s daughter celebrated turning two last week. To celebrate her birthday, Offset gifted her a pink Birkin bag. The father of two posted a video on social media when he gave his daughter the bag.

In the video, he expressed his excitement by saying it’s pretty and it belongs to her. The two-year-old was wearing a pink dress and held her matching accessory given to her by her dad.

“OK, girl!” Offset said. “I see you, beautiful baby! It’s your Birkin.”

Some fans were supportive while others raised questions over the high-priced item. The price of the bag is not revealed but Birkin bags cost thousands of dollars. One user commented saying the bag costs more than her annual salary. While other user questioned why would a two-year-old need that. “She’s probably more excited about the box,” the user said.

Cardi B took to Instagram to defend Offset and said she hates it when celebrities buy their children designer products and people say they don’t care about that. “I hate when people, like, when a celebrity buys their kids jewelry and like you know, designer s–t, people be like, ‘Kids don’t care about that. They only care about toys and candy,'” the rapper said.

if I’m fly and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid

She said kids only care about toys and candy but they also go outside. Cardi said celebrity kids to go to fancy places and red carpets. She further said if parents are fly then the kids would be too. “Yeah, kids only care about toys and candy but the thing is the kids also go outside. You know what I’m saying? Kids go to restaurants; kids go to fancy places; celebrity kids, they go do red carpets. And if I’m fly and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid.”

The rapper further explained that it is not up to kids and if it were they would be out there in diapers. She further said that if she is looking good and her daughter is not, then they will give her a hard time anyway. “Because if I was looking like a bad bitch, expensive bitch, and I have my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking s–t,” she added. “So I’m not mad that daddy bought the baby a Birkin. She’s gonna match mommy.”

However, a Birkin bag was not the only present Kulture received, she also received a toy Bugatti from her aunt Hennessy Carolina. Also, Offset and Cardi celebrated Kulture’s big day by throwing a luxurious birthday party.

Cardi Slammed for Using Racial Slur

Cardi B was recently slammed for using a racial slur against Chinese people while describing her sister Hennessy Carolina’s eyes.

The controversy started after Cardi posted an image of her daughter, Kulture Kiari. The image showed what the two-year-old would look like as an adult. A fan pointed out in the comments section that her daughter as a grown up looks like a combination of Offset and Hennessy, Cardi’s sister.

The rapper responded to the comment saying it is because her sister has got ‘ch-ky eyes’ similar to Offset. She continued pointing out that Kulture also has the same eyes. Cardi said it was the only thing she could think of.

Cardi’s comment led to outrage among people and sooner than later she was called out. She got backlash in Instagram as well as Twitter. The rapper admitted that she did not know that it was a slur. She expressed her irritation saying she does not know everything. However, she deleted that tweet as well as the post.

Cardi explained that they do not even use that as an insult neither she uses it personally. She further said with frustration that she is sick of the internet.

The Grammy winner has faced backlash a number of times on her social media handles. In earlier 2019, she issued an apology for a resurfaced Instagram live where she admits to using drugs and robbing men. Her mea culpa also raised eyebrows, leading the hashtag #SurvivingCardiB (a play on the Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly) to trend on Twitter.

Cardi once opened up to her fans telling them she has never claimed to be perfect and she always owns up her mistakes. She explained that she is a part of a hiphop culture where you can talk about where you come from. The rapper further said that she can talk about the wrong things she had to do to get where she is.

Cardi B continued, “There are rappers that glorify murder violence drugs a [sic] robbing. Crimes they feel they had to do to survive. I never glorified the things I brought up in that [Instagram] live I never even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of it and feel a responsibility not to glorify it.”

The rapper further said that she had very limited options when she was entering the industry. That resulted in poor choices she had to make to survive. Cardi vowed to be a better person for herself, her family and her future.

Cardi Called Transphobic and Homophobic

The Grammy winner faced backlash and was called transphobic and homophobic. In a series of tweets, Cardi B denied the claims of being homophobic and transphobic after a user accused her of being one. A tweet was shared by Cardi B’s fan club talking about Love, Victor. The movie is about a gay teenager and it is on Hulu.

The user reacted to a tweet saying it is crazy considering Cardi is transphobic and homophobic. ‘That’s crazy, considering the woman is homophobic and transphobic,’ the user named @DOJASREM said.

Cardi B was not having it and she lashed out in a series of tweets explaining that she is not a transphobic or a homophobic woman. She questioned the user asking how is she homophobic or transphobic. Cardi went on asking questions based on what she went through. She asked the user if they have been to a Caribbean island and experienced actual homophobia.

Cardi asked if they have had a parent who does not accept their sexuality. She admitted her previous mistakes and said she did say some ignorant things but she has apologized for it. Cardi B says she has educated herself after that but it does not mean she is homophobic.

Cardi B continued in her defense writing they are closing their eyes to all the support she has shown to the LGBT community. She accused haters of using the same video which she has already apologized for but overlooking her support for the community.
