BTS’ Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ Beats PSY’s ‘Gagnam Style’ As Most-Streamed Male Solo

JK or Jungkook of BTS has created history again with his solo track, Euphoria.

On November 8, ARMY learned that the song has surpassed PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ as the most-streamed song by a Korean male soloist on Spotify. ‘Euphoria’ was published in August 2018 as part of the ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ compilation album.

While RM was involved in the song’s creation and the music video contains all of the BTS members; Jungkook is the one who sings it. His solo song was one of the highlights of the band’s Wembley Stadium concert, and it was also featured in the TV show ‘Euphoria’.

This is followed by the announcement that BTS will perform live on the AMAs stage in 2021. On the same day, it was announced that the global K-pop group would not only be attending; but would also be performing their hit single Butter for the first time in front of an audience.

They’ve also invited Megan Thee Stallion to join them on stage for their ‘Butter Thee Remix,’ making it even more special. And only BTS can keep going because they are the first Asian act to be nominated for a major honour at the AMAs; such as the Artist Of The Year award, which has wowed everyone.

As BTS continues to soar, fans are at a loss for what to focus on. BTS will have their own webtoon, ‘7Fates: CHAKHO,’ based on the famed tiger hunters of the Joseon dynasty; which was just announced last week. Fans can’t be more pleased that the group’s newest member continues to break records with his solo single.

On Spotify, Jungkook’s song ‘Euphoria’ has 292 million streams and appears to be growing every time a fan checks the status. It’s worth noting that the song topped the Billboard World Digital Sales Chart in July.

To commemorate the achievement, fans are using terms like “Congratulations Jungkook” and “Top Male Soloist Jungkook”. One ARMY tweeted, “There’s no way to explain how absolutely gorgeous euphoria live is, jungkook succeeded in taking the magic in the song to the stage. he’s so amazing.”

Another fan shared, “Euphoria is always going to be his trademark song. He has worked so hard to find the perfect voice for euphoria. We are blessed to receive a small glimpse. He is proud of his song and so are we”. One fan commented, “‘Euphoria’ by Jungkook is now the most-streamed song by a Male Korean Soloist on Spotify.
