Congratulations are in order for Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz. The happy couple confirmed their exciting news in a pair of matching social media posts on Saturday. The news comes just hours after reports about their engagement first began circulating online.
The Official Announcement
The newly engaged couple posted a sweet shot of them sharing their news with the world.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes,” Brooklyn, 21, wrote alongside a romantic engagement snap of the pair. The couple looks very much in love and the Transformers actress is seen with a stunning diamond sparkler. “I am the luckiest man in the world,” the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham added. “I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx.”
Nicola Peltz echoed the same sentiments in her own announcement post.
“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby,” she wrote.
Nicola, who had shared the same photo of the pair embracing outdoors, also gave her future sister-in-law Harper, who turned eight earlier this month, a shout out for capturing the moment. “Thank you Harper for this pic ????,” she wrote.
Wishes from the family
It looks like Brooklyn and Nicola have the Beckhams’ full support. Brooklyn’s mom, Victoria Beckham, congratulated her son and future daughter-in-law in a heartfelt post. “The MOST exciting news!!” she wrote. “We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married! It’s been six months since the couple first made their romance official on social media. Both Brooklyn and Nicola began to post about each other on Instagram in January 2020. Around that same time, Brooklyn posted a sweet tribute to his girlfriend in honor of her birthday, writing, “Happy birthday babe xx you have such an amazing heart xx.”
The actress affectionately called Brooklyn her best friend in a post back in April. “I’m dating my best friend and that makes me so happy.” she wrote alongside a candid photo of Beckham kissing her cheek, while an earlier smiling photo from March was simply captioned “soulmate.”
Alleged details and speculations
Alleged details of the couple’s upcoming nuptials have already emerged, with rumors saying that it might be costing £4 million. It might just be a grand affair, just like David and Victoria’s lavish wedding ceremony. The nuptials are said to be taking place in both the UK and Florida. The couple is allegedly expected to sign prenups at the behest of Nicola’s father, who is said to be worth £1.34 billion. While Brooklyn’s little sister, Harper will reportedly be ‘chief bridesmaid’ and his brothers Romeo and Cruz will be acting as his ‘ushers’.

An insider source close to the family revealed, ‘Everyone is delighted for them. Brooklyn has always looked up to his parents and grandparents, who have been married for a combined 70 years, and that’s what he wants. They added, ‘It’s too early to set a date, but they’re aiming for the end of next summer or early autumn. David and Victoria have very much given this relationship their blessing. It’s a very exciting time for the whole family and after a few previous rocky relationships, they think Brooklyn has landed on his feet.’
Victoria is also rumored to be designing one of the wedding dresses that Nicola will wear at one of their ceremonies.
The happy couple are also reportedly keen to move to the US permanently, and are said to be house-hunting in LA where Brooklyn has allegedly been offered a number of internships.
Past Relationships
Before his relationship with Peltz, Beckham dated model Hana Cross in 2018 until the pair broke things off in September 2019. The star also had an on-and-off relationship with actress Chloë Grace Moretz from 2014 until 2018.
Nicola was previously dating the youngest of the Hadid siblings, model Anwar Hadid. It’s believed they dated for just over a year before they split up in May 2018.
