Britney Spears surprised her fans with a worldwide release of ‘mood ring’

Britney Spears fans were in for a treat when the beloved pop singer surprised them by rereleasing her song ‘Mood ring’ worldwide, making it her first music release in over four years. The song, which was initially a bonus track on her 2016 studio album ‘Glory’, was available only in Japan. This time, however, the worldwide release has come as a happy surprise to her fans, who can’t stop gushing over the track.

The Slumber party singer put out an Instagram story to tease the single on Thursday.

“You’ve been asking for it, Mood ring. Tonight.” the teaser read.

The much-anticipated song release comes weeks after Britney Spears switched up the cover art for Glory in celebration of it climbing back to No.1 on the iTunes charts, as part of the #JusticeForGlory campaign.

The singer seemed visibly excited as she wrote, “You asked for a new Glory cover and since it went to number one we had to make it happen !!!! Couldn’t have done it without you all!!!!”

Staying true to her style, the electro-pop number is definitely a banger. ‘My love is a mood ring, Up and down emotions, all these mood swings, you know how to read the touch of my skin, Nothing on my body but this mood ring, You change me,’ she sings.

Milestone Celebration

Britney Spears recently celebrated an important milestone of 20 years since her iconic album Oops! I Did It Again dropped.

The singer might be having a few more surprises up her sleeve since her new release. However, her sister Jamie Lynn revealed spears wouldn’t be heading back to the studio just yet.

Spears is “kind of just relaxing” Lynn mentioned. “And I think that’s good. Britney deserves that. She’s worked her ass off. So if she wants to make another album, great. But if she doesn’t feel like it, she doesn’t have to. She’s given the world a lot. I don’t think there are plans for anything — at the moment,” she added.
