
Boxing Fame Canelo Alvarez Answers Whether He Will Fight Jake Paul
YouTuber-turned Professional Boxer Jake Paul has definitely come up as the finest influencer boxer. He boasts an impressive 4-0 professional boxing record defeating the likes of MMA champs including Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley,
Last week Jake Paul defeated former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in Cleveland, Ohio via split decision. The YouTuber is already eyeing his next opponent and has also revealed his official ‘hit list’. One of the most prominent names of Jake Paul’s hit list is of the great Mexican boxer, Canelo Alvarez.
Canelo has a 56-1-2 record and is one of the best active boxers on the planet. While ha has criticized the rise of influencer boxing, it seems that he has not completely ruled out a fight with a YouTuber-turned Boxer.
‘He’s Not Ready’
When Canelo was asked about whether he would consider fighting Jake Paul by a paparazzi, he said “Not right now.”
“He’s not ready,” Canelo added implying that Jake Paul needs to milk the cow harder to get into the ring with the Super Middleweight champion. Have a look at the video where Canelo is seen speaking about it:
Canelo was willing to see Jake Paul get in the ring with Canelo’s brother first and thinks that Jake “needs to keep improving” to land a fight with the ultimate showman.
Last month, Jake Paul took to his Instagram to reveal the fighters who are on his hit-list. The list had the names of Gib, Nate Robinson, and Ben Askren struck out, to begin with. The names of Canelo, Nate Diz, and six others were on Jake Paul’s hit list.
