Blackpink’s Lisa Becomes LONGEST-Charting Female K-Pop Soloist On Billboard Hot 100

Lisa’s career seems to have no bounds since her solo debut with ‘Lalisa,’ as she continues to achieve new heights as an artist.

As the group’s lead rapper and major dancer, Thai citizen Lisa already had solo admirers dubbed “Lilies”; while she was a member of Blackpink. Lillies have even more reason to celebrate now that it’s a new day and Lisa has set a new record.

Lisa has a new first in terms of her solo release, according to reports from November 9. ‘Money,’ a B-side from Lisa’s solo album ‘Lalisa,’ has now become the longest-charting song by a female K-pop singer on Billboard’s Hot 100. Blackpink as a collective used to hold the record for the longest-charting female acts; but with no new music from the group in the previous few months; Lisa has taken it upon herself to keep the group’s record-breaking traditions alive.

According to the most recent Billboard Hot 100 chart, Lisa’s song ‘Money’ was ranked 93rd this week. Lisa had spent the previous week at number 90 on the same chart; marking her second straight week on an International Chart; despite the fact that her album had only been out for two months.

The ‘Lalisa’ singer’s popularity index has reportedly increased since her solo debut; since she now features on other Billboard big charts; including the Global 200 and Global 100. (Excl. US). Lisa is the longest-charting K-pop soloist on two of Billboard’s three main charts; with her title hit Lalisa and her B-side single Money both charting for six weeks.

Lisa has been nominated for several prizes; including the Melon Music Award and Mnet’s Asian Music Awards for the year 2021; as well as charting on local South Korean charts throughout the last few months.

Lisa’s fans have been praising her single accomplishments on Twitter; they have been immensely proud of her. One fan said, “The GOAT.. CONGRATULATIONS LISA.” One fan said, “Lalisa get that Money” as they complimented the singer for having both her solo songs on the Billboard’s charts. Another fan said, “Her power is insane.”
