Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and Other Boy Bands Join Up For Holiday Special

This holiday season, ABC presents A Very Boy Band Holiday special, which features the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and more.

Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC posters adorned the walls of pre-teens everywhere in the early 1990s, as they took the globe by storm with their in-sync dancing movements and wireless headsets.

Backstreet Boys members have recently been working on a Christmas record to accompany their Las Vegas holiday shows. However, because of the pandemic, the Christmas CD was postponed until 2022, and their Vegas holiday shows were canceled as a result.

Boy bands reunion

According to Deadline, ABC has announced that their A Very Boy Band Holiday special will run on December 6, 2021, and will feature members from different boy bands performing some of their biggest singles alongside a few holiday classics.

Wayne Morris of Boyz ll Men, Joey McIntyre of the New Kids On The Block, Nick and Drew Lachey of 98 Degrees, Joey Fatone of *NSYNC, and Lance Bass star in the Christmas special. Members of the Backstreet Boys, New Edition, and O-Town, as well as some surprise guests, will be in attendance. It was also revealed that Fatone of *NSYNC and Morris of Boyz ll Men would be performing a new holiday song on the A Very Boy Band Holiday special.

This holiday special couldn’t have come at a better time, with a Backstreet Boys Christmas album on the way. Fans are already speculating that the holiday-themed record may be featured in this year’s ABC Christmas special. A Very Boy Band Holiday will premiere on ABC on December 6 at 8 p.m. ET and will be accessible on Hulu the next day.
