Ayushmann Khurrana – Rise To Fame
When it comes to the breakthrough actors in the Bollywood film industry, Ayushmann Khurrana is probably the first name that comes to our mind. Giving us back to back blockbusters, he has now become one of the most sought after actors in the industry.
Background
Coming from the city of Chandigarh, he was always into acting. That is why he did theatre for around five years and was really active in college fests, winning himself awards and accolades. His first appearance on the television was in the year 2002 at the age of 17. He was a part of Channel V’s show Popstars. But his major breakthrough came when he turned out as the winner of the second season of the reality show Roadies.
He was a part of multiple other shows on MTV and went on to host several of them. His first job after completing his education in Journalism was as an RJ at Big FM.
Step In Film Industry
It was finally in the year 2012 when Ayushmann stepped in the film industry with Shoojit Sircar’s film Vicky Donor. Starring alongside Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor, the actor created an ample amount of buzz with his debut. While he was on the show Koffee With Karan, the actor had revealed about rejecting five scripts before he finally made his debut with Vicky Donor.
Since then it has only been an uphill for him. From being a passionate actor he has now become a star in the industry. He has not just delivered some blockbuster films, but also such performances that are cherished by the audience. It is very important for an actor to not just impress the audience but the critics as well. And Ayushmann has done it all along his journey so far.
From films like Dum Laga Ke Haisha to Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, his films are simply a delight to watch. The actor set the benchmark even higher with his film AndhaDhun which was extremely appreciated by the masses and the critics.
Badhaai Ho, Article 15, Dream Girl, Bala and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan just added to his list of successes. Ayushmann’s latest release has been Gulabo Sitabo with Amitabh Bachchan. Owing to the current lockdown, the film had an OTT release on Amazon Prime. But needless to say, the actor has once again won hearts with his work.
Ayushmann Khurrana has struggled a lot to reach where he is today in his life. His efforts have been relentless without losing confidence in himself. Those efforts have surely paid off as we have gained one gem of an actor in Bollywood.
