Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aaryan reject Hungama 2, Director Priyadarshan says he doesn’t like to beg actors
Popular director Priyadarshan had approached Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan for Hungama 2 but they rejected the film!
All of us know how choosy the young generation of celebs has become when it comes to their films and roles. Something similar happened with actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan when Priyadarshan approached them for Hungama 2. Both of them rejected the offer.
Talking about the same, the director told PTI, “I didn’t go directly to meet them. But my concept was narrated to a lot of actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra. They all refused to do the film. Now, I am working with Meezaan.” He thinks that they refused because maybe they thought he is an outdated director, because he was out of the Hindi film industry for five years.
According to Priyadarshan, the actors seemed disinterested. “They don’t tell it to you on your face. I don’t like to beg actors and (I) prefer to work with somebody who believes in me. Many times when you request an actor to do a film, they show respect to you, offer you coffee and nicely they will avoid you. Because maybe they don’t trust you,” he added.
The shooting of Hungama 2 had been almost completed before the lockdown. The film now stars Meezaan Jaffery along with Paresh Rawal and Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
