Ayushmann Khurrana introduces his next film, ‘Action Hero’ in a unique approach

Ayushmann Khurrana was supposed to collaborate with filmmaker Aanand L Rai for an action film after the Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan franchise, according to sources. Ayushmann confirmed this on Saturday with the formal announcement of his next film, named ‘Action Hero.’

Action Hero, produced by Rai and Bhushan Kumar, will star Ayushmann in the major role. Anirudh Iyer will direct the film, which is written by Iyer and Neeraj Yadav. According to reports, the film follows an actor’s journey in both film and real life.

Falling in Love with script

Rai, who has previously worked with Ayushmann on two projects, is also looking forward to this one. In a statement, he said, “While this is the first time we’ve tried this genre, it’ll be the third time we’ve worked with Ayushmann on a project. It’s always a pleasure to work with him, and I’m looking forward to the film’s release.” Ayushmann will play the lead in the film, which will be shot in the United Kingdom. Bhushan Kumar went on to say, “In this film, Ayushmann plays the title Action Hero to perfection. This is T-Series’ fourth collaboration with Ayushmann, which makes it even more special for everyone involved.”

Meanwhile, Ayushmann is working on a handful of projects. He shot for Anek with Anubhav Sinha. The film was shot in the North-East and is unlike anything Ayushmann has done before. He’ll also be seen in Vaani Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

Abhishek Kapoor is directing the film, which will be released on December 10, 2021. He’s also worked alongside Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh on Doctor G.
