The award “celebrates beloved actors whose varied contributions to both film and television have made them into household names,” according to a press release. BEST FIGHT

Apart from the Generation Award, Johansson has been nominated for six MTV Movie & TV Awards, winning the golden popcorn statue for “Best Fight” in 2013 for her role in The Avengers. But, as her fans are well aware, these aren’t her only honours. Johansson won a BAFTA for her role in Lost in Translation in 2004 and a Tony for her role in A View From the Bridge in 2010. She also got her first Oscar nominations for her work in Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit last year.

Johansson has had a lot on her plate lately. She married Colin Jost, a Saturday Night Live actor, in October. She’s also preparing for the release of her upcoming Marvel film Black Widow, which will hit theatres on July 9. MTV has named a number of winners, including Scarlett Johansson. Sacha Baron Cohen will win the Comedic Genius Award, the network announced last week.

The rest of the winners will be revealed at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which will be hosted by Leslie Jones and air on Sunday, May 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
