From the past week, new cases are emerging rapidly in few states of the United States reported 31,905 new coronavirus cases as well as 691 virus-related deaths. According to the John Hopkins University coronavirus database, the United States has reported a total of 2,220,961 positive coronavirus cases which is the highest number of infections in the world.
Apple said it was temporarily closing 11 retail stores across four states amid a surge in the number of coronavirus cases in those areas.
Stores will be closed in Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina “with an abundance of caution,” Apple said. The closings come about one month after Apple started reopening outlets in the United States. The company closed most of its stores globally in mid-March when the pandemic started to take hold in the United States.
This affected the overall stocks of Apple in United States, leading it to a loss in the market.
