Anthony Taylor’s Comments on Jake Paul and KSI
In the wake of struggling in MMA for most of his career, Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor has turned to influencer boxing.
YouTube personalities KSI and Jake Paul are the two biggest names in influencer boxing, and KSI has been courting Jake Paul for months. The plan for their eventual fight was laid out by KSI this week, who predicted he would knockout Paul by 2023. However, there’s one catch: Paul isn’t interested anymore.
Anthony Taylor: “KSI Will Lose to Both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury”
Anthony Taylor is an MMA fighter-turned-influencer boxer who has sparred with both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. He has expressed his belief that both Paul and Fury would beat KSI in a boxing match.
In an interview with The Sun, Taylor said, “I think KSI loses both, personally. He hasn’t fought harder opponents. Now his fans will go, ‘He’s undefeated, he’s this, he’s that.’ But he hasn’t fought anyone who can actually box. He’s fought people who are YouTubers, who are entertainers.”
Taylor also said that he believes Paul and Fury are both more skilled boxers than KSI. He said, “Jake Paul is a good boxer. He’s not world-class, but he’s a good boxer. And Tommy Fury is a very good boxer. He’s got a lot of potential. I think they would both beat KSI.”
It is worth noting that Taylor has a vested interest in seeing Paul and Fury win. He has been promoted by Paul’s management team, Most Valuable Promotions, and he has fought on cards promoted by Fury’s father, John Fury. However, his assessment of KSI’s boxing skills is consistent with the views of many other boxing experts.
KSI is a popular YouTuber who has amassed over 23 million subscribers on his channel. He has also had some success in boxing, winning two of his three professional fights. However, Taylor believes that KSI’s lack of experience against top-level boxers will be his downfall if he ever fights Paul or Fury.
“KSI has good power, but he lacks the technical skills to compete with Paul or Fury,” Taylor said. “He’s not used to fighting people who are as good as him, and I think it would show in a fight.”
It is still possible that KSI could beat Paul or Fury in a boxing match. However, Taylor’s comments suggest that he would be the underdog in either fight.
