Amazon’s Eero Pro Router Is The Solution For A Blazing Fast Wi-Fi

You may want to try networking if you know you are paying for faster internet but feel like your home Wi-Fi is slowing down or there are places in your house where you can’t stream movies or video chat. Wi-Fi is important right now, with many people working or studying in different classes of the house.

Mesh communication, to put it simply, lays several wireless routes around your house to cover a large area. It works better than cheap Wi-Fi extensions.

Amazon Eero Pro

The new model from Amazon’s Eero supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 standards, so you can have more gadgets connected to Wi-Fi without much hassle. It has better antennas than the last generation Eero 5, which I used before I set up the Eero Pro 6.

Features

The Eero Pro 6, like other Eero products, is very easy to set up. Just connect one harp to a modem provided by your cable company and use the app to add two more to different parts of your house. It does all the legal backlinks so you don’t have to worry about finding out that each unit will communicate. It can be set up in as less as 10 minutes.

Eero Pro 6

I pay for fast internet, which is one gigabit but, usually, I get a Wi-Fi speed of about 90% faster than that. I live in an old house with plastered walls that pollute the Wi-Fi signal, even in areas just a few rooms away from my router.

Double/Quadruple In Speed

One of the users says ‘The Eero Pro 6 has doubled or quadrupled my speed around the house, increasing them from anywhere by about 100Mbps to 700Mbps, depending on the room I am in. It means I can stream game services like Google Stadia in my living room, where I could not before, or download movies and apps very quickly in-house. It also means that there is enough speed for my wife and I to stream several videos at the same time.’

I’ve never had problems with discarded connections yet, as I sometimes do with the standard Eero 5 and its competition with Google Wi-Fi, because they didn’t have enough power to cover my entire home.

I don’t have kids old enough to use this feature, but Eero also allows you to manage different people in your home and block services. Therefore, your children may not be able to use FaceTime after a certain period of time, for example, or visit other websites that you deem inappropriate.

The standard Eero 6, which I have not tested, works similarly but does not offer as a powerful antenna or support the fastest speed I pay for my cable company. But it might be a good alternative to the Pro model if you live in a small home or don’t pay for gigabit internet.

The Negatives

Eero Pro 6

The Eero Pro 6 is expensive. It sells on Black Friday for $ 479 but otherwise costs $ 599. That’s more than double the standard Eero 6. standard, so, buy it only if you pay for really fast internet (at least 500Mbps) and need to cover up to be 6,000 square feet.

This looks great, but I also wish one of the access points had more Ethernet ports. There are only two. You will always get instant connection when you have a cable. Ideal for game alerts where you need instant communication, or for things that are always connected to places like smart-light hubs or your desktop computer. I have some additional connections that I connect behind Eero to solve this problem and increase the number of Ethernet jacks, but it’s something people who care about cable connection should be aware of.

Sometimes your phone or tablet or laptop will connect to the Eero remote. I asked Eero founder and chief executive Nick Weaver about this while calling immediately.

He explained that Eero does not determine which gadget to connect to and, rather, is the client’s device, such as your iPhone or tablet, which decides which hotspot to use. In some cases, that device will connect remotely for any reason. But Weaver told me you could turn on the “steering band” feature that forces your gadgets to use the 5GHz frequency, if available, which can help it connect to a nearby hotspot. Another solution I found: Turn off your Wi-Fi and turn it on again. However, Weaver warned that doing this too often could cause the program to be filtered out on Wi-Fi and would require you to enter your password again.

Gamers and other computer enthusiasts who care about a particular Quality of Service, or QoS, settings will not find them here yet. That allows you to prioritize certain devices, such as a game console or PC, over others. But, Weaver told me that sometimes people forget that they have a game console using the full network speed and wonder why some gadgets are running so slowly. So, instead, handle this well. But Eero is testing a feature that gives you more control over using video conferencing and playback. Anyway, I play a lot of games and I have never had problems with how Eero works, so this is not a big deal for me.

Finally, Eero sells subscription services with additional security features. There are packages of $ 2.99 per month or $ 9.99 per month, with discounts if you sign up for a full year in advance, and they offer extras like password management and ad blocking. Alternatively Amazon makes money from the product. It doesn’t bother me much because I don’t pay for it and I don’t need it, but I’ve heard from some people who say they see notifications on their phone to sign up. Spend them if you don’t need them.

Buy or Not?

Yes, if you pay for the most expensive home internet and don’t get the speed you expect with Wi-Fi, you should consider a communication system with spaces like Eero Pro 6. the last standard Eero 5.

But it’s expensive, and if you don’t pay for really fast internet, have no cover issues or you don’t need to cover a lot of space with Wi-Fi, you don’t need it.

Synopsis

Amazon’s Eero Pro 6 can help you find the fastest Wi-Fi around your home and help clear dead areas.

It is expensive, however, to start at $ 599 without being sold at a discount.

But it is easy to set up and can help you and your family to work and play from the many rooms in your home if you have bad Wi-Fi.

I have set up Amazon’s $ 599 Eero Pro 6 mesh Wi-Fi system a few days ago and I am already seeing major improvements to my home Wi-Fi, says a customer.
